Princesses AND Knights Party

How many little girls want a princess party at some point in thier young lives?
I would guess most.  But, how many little girls have little boys who are friends?
And how many little boys want to go to a princess party?
Problem solved: turn it into a princesses and knights party.
With plate settings for both the knights,
And the princesses.
Shields and swords for the knights,
And jewels and gold for the princesses.
So, even though it may be a little girl's party,
The little boys won't mind being there.
Love the horses for those knights to ride!
So cute!  Visit {Two Bees Tutus & Events} for all the details.

The Cutest Little Tea Party

I'm loving this sweet little tea party.
Such cute and simple colors and decorations!  I think it's adorable!
Talk about a cute birthday banner!
Doesn't it look yummy!?
Such a cute table, too.  I would have loved this when I was a little girl!
Love the chinese lanterns!!  And the bow on the chair.
Yummy.
This is so cute, right?  Made out of buttons it would be a cute decoration in a room!!
More yummyness.
I love this sweet cake!
And this cute take home gift of tiny cookies!
Looks like it was a hit!  Visit {Kara's Party Ideas} for all the details.

Fabric Wrist Corsage

Isn't this beautiful!?  I thought it would make a very pretty Mother's Day gift.
Easy enough to make using the supplies shown above - fabrics in colors of your choice, felt circles, a few beads and some ribbon, plus hot glue.
So you start by making the rosette, twisting strips of fabric around and around and glueing them to the felt circles.
Until it looks like the one above.
Repeat until you have three rosettes that can go together.
I like how she put beads on the ends of the ribbon just to dress up the rosette a little more.
Then, glue the ends of the ribbon to the rosettes, and notice how there's another piece of felt up there...that's to cover all the yucky-ness you see in this picture.  Just glue it on top of all those loose ends.
Pretty self explanitory, the ribbons just tie the corsage around your wrist.  And voila!  A very pretty corsage that can be worn over and over again.
Happy Mother's Day!

A Shower Shower

I love simple party ideas.  Here is a really cute one.
Aren't those raindrops falling from those party poufs cute!!?
Love the clouds on the straws.
And on the cupcakes...and I love those little blue balls, they look like beads of water.
Just a really simple decoration - an umbrella on a pencil - makes such a cute difference!
I love the take home gift as well: "Thanks for dropping by".  So cute.  So easy.

Hydrangea Cake

I just love hydrangeas!  They might be my favorite flower.  I love them all year long.
And that's probably why I about died when I saw this amazing cake.
How I would love to plan a party around this beauty!!
It's rare that things look as good as you know they taste.  But this does.
For info on how to make this cake, visit {I Am Baker} and she explains how to frost it {here}.
Wouldn't this make a great Mother's Day cake!??

DIY Number Pillows

Many of you know I love {this creative use of painters drop cloths}.  Now, here's another great use for them:
After seeing these number pillows from Potterybarn,
{A Bowl Full of Lemons} decided to use drop cloths and make her own!
Aren't they cute!?  Check out the link above for the how-to.

Chicken Wire Vase Frames

This may sound like a really weird title, but what you're about to see is oh so cute!!
It's gotta be one of the cutest Spring decorations I've ever seen!
Starting out with the supplies above,
First, she painted and distressed the frames.
Then, using twine, she hung vases from the tops of the frames.
I mean, it's adorable!
Even without the chicken wire.
But, to make it even cuter, she hung the frames from a larger frame/old door with chicken wire in the middle of it.
Giving her a row of framed vases, backed by chicken wire.
I just love everything about the way this looks!!!  Visit {Flamingo Toes} for all the details on this awesome project.
