Even More Lovely Nurseries

Potterybarn doing their usual good job.   I really like just classic patterned bedding for nurseries.  These stripes work so well.  Love how they did a green wall to balance all the pink out, too.

This room I saw on Thrifty Decor Chick and I really like it.  It seems very real.  I love the wainscotting with the little ledge way up high.  And LOVE the alphabet on that ledge.  SO cute!  Also the pokadot chair is adorable!  As well as those huge balls.  And you never see throw pillows in a crib, for obvious reasons, but I love the way they look in there!

I love how dreamy this nursery is!!  All white - so fun.  And great for a boy or girl.  I'm in love with that HUGE mirror and the chandelier and all the french furniture.  So pretty.

PB again - loving the stripes painted on the wall - and the wainscotting with the star resting on it.  I also really like the monochromatic color scheme in this one.  Very stately.

This nursery seems fit for a king.  That crib is royal looking.  Maybe it's more of a toddler bed at this point.  Love the neutral color pallet.

Gotta love a fishy nursery.  Tastefully cute.  Love the starfish garland.

Isn't this nursery amazing!!?  It seems like a princess's nursery, doesn't it?  I could totally see this room in a castle.  Love the gold.  So pretty and luxurious.  And those presents are so cute!  Love the teddy bear sitting on that lovely chair, too.  And the canopy over the cradle.  So sweet.

For the Love of the Sea Party

I saw this cute party on Kara's Party Ideas, courtesy of {Fete Fanatic}. I think it's just such an elegant party. Not too cutsy and kidsy.

Love the table setting. The bright blue table cloth with the rose petals on it, and the candles with the blue ribbon around them - and that hurricane filled with rose petals. Ah! And those ruffle placemats are adorable!! Not to mention the pokadot napkins.

How perfect are these goldfish crackers! And so elegantly displayed!

Of course crab legs to eat.
And I love this dessert. Looks yummy. What's a sea loving party without swedish fish, right? - I think this was the take home gift. :)

Cute ideas!

Playroom

Loving this sweet, quaint, little playroom.  Perfect for little kiddies.  I really like those benches - great storage!  I think I like this room because it's childish, but not embarrassingly so.

Outdoor Living Rooms

Wouldn't it be nice to live in an area of the world where you could always have access to an outdoor living room?
Complete with soft curtains that would blow in the breeze and comfortable couches and lighting.

I love the idea of having a courtyard where everything is open to the great outdoors.
A nice big porch would do the trick...
Doesn't it just look like summer!?
I really love this next one.
A covered porch that opens up to the backyard.  So luxurious!

It would make you feel like you were always on vacation!

Love those stone pillars with the light curtains flowing inbetween.

As I've mentioned before, this porch is to die for.
Loving the architecture involved in this backyard.  Isn't it stunning!?
And this one, complete with an ocean view.  Can life get better?  Happy Summer to you.

Strawberry Soiree

Do you love strawberries?  Then, you're going to love this little party I saw on {Cakewalk}

The more parties I see like this the more I realize how simple it is to make a party look great.  Those wall flowers look so cute!!  And all they are is tissue paper!

Love the apothecary jars...and all the matching food.  And it looks like she may have made those hats.  Simple, yet so cute!!  I also love the simple pink pokadot fabric laying across the table.

Strawberry jam sandwiches.  So yummy and they look so cute with that paper around them!!  Don't you love that cupcake stand in the background??  I gotta get one of those!  You can use whatever ribbon to match your party.  Love it.

Speaking of cupcakes - what a simple way to make a cupcake look so stinkin cute!  And I like that they're mini cupcakes.

The cake is gorgeous, no?  Love this party!!

Boys Room

Loving this simple, calm boys room I saw on {Jack and Izzy}
Sweet and simple bedding in great traditional colors and style.  Love the teddy bear.
Easy way to make curtains look cute - use a matching ribbon around them.
Love how the toys are organized in labeled baskets and jars...love the jars.
This could quite possibly be my favorite part of the room.  I love those pictures - with the noises!!  So cute!
And what a cute decoration idea - to put blocks in a jar like that.  SO CUTE!

Nicely done.

Dreamy Girls Room

Sometimes I think people go way over the top when they're creating a room for a little girl.  Pink can get a little heavy when used too much.  I feel like this room has just the right amount of pink in just the right amount of saturation.
I love that it's backed by those soft aqua walls - that really calms the space down.  Pink is a warm color and can make people feel excited (aka hyper), but this aqua color gives it a calming presence.  That chandelier is really cute.

Love that whimsicle canopy bed and the oh-so-light curtains.  They make the room look like a dream.

I really like how they "made" their own windowseat in this room.  Who needs built-ins anyway? :)

And these pillows are too cute!

I also really like this bedding - Land of Nod.  It's way cute, too.  The antique accents like that doll and the hat box make the room feel dreamy, too - probably because they remind me of Anne of Green Gables...don't ask me why.

Windows In Unusual Places

We often see windows lining th wall in front of the kitchen sink.  Why not do the same in front of the bathroom sink.
How great is this!!  Wake up in the morning and look out into the beautiful world.  Of course, it would only work if you had a separate vanity somehwere.  I mean, we do need mirrors, people.

How about a wall of windows in the laundry room!?

It makes the space MUCH more inviting than most laundry rooms - tucked away in a dark hole somewhere.  Loving all the light.  I might WANT to spend time in a laundry room like this.

Red and Aqua Party

I'm a big fan of party signs like this at the entrance.

Look.  How.  Cute!  Love the use of red apples in a red bucket.  Also the apothecary jars full of different colored candy.  And the popcorn bags - perfect color!  Those take home bags look pretty cute, too - and easy: just paper bags with something turquoise glued to the front, tied with a red ribbon.
Aren't these cookies cute!  I like that they spell his name.

Close up of the apothecaries full of fun, colorful food.

CaaaUTE cake. :)

I'm also a big fan of buntings like this - especially when they're custom either with the name or colors of the event.

Oh, so sweet.  See more at {Design Dazzle}

Happy Memorial Day

A special thank you to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives so that I could live in such a great country.  We live in the land of the free, because of the brave.  May we never forget that.
