{Thrifty Decor Chick} made these metallic pumpkins for herself!

She got cheapie plastic ones.

She spray painted them with oil rubbed bronze spray paint.

And then brushed them with glaze. Aren't they pretty!!?

Witch Treats

Here's a great idea from {Our Best Bites} and they have many more, so check them out!
Love these witch wands. Just long pretzels dipped in white chocolate - dark would be good, too though. And sprinkled in Halloween colors. She says those little buckets are from the dollar store, too! I love how they're sitting in candycorns. Cute!

I've always wanted to make these:

These are fabulous! They are seriously easy to make also. All you need are:

-1 pkg hershey's kisses

-1 pkg keebler's fudge stripe cookes

-orange frosting or caramel

Just turn the cookies over and attach the kisses using frosting or caramel. I do think the frosting looks cuter especially with the bow, but that looks kinda hard. The great thing about these is that they are so easy!! No baking or anything. I'm sure it's good both ways.

And another one of my favorites:

My mom's birthday is Halloween, so she was always a self-proclaimed witch. She dressed up as a witch every year and she also made witch's brew every year.

Witch's Brew aka Homemade Rootbeer

5 gallons cold water (also equal to 80 cups)

5 pounds white sugar

1 (2-ounce) bottle root beer concentrate (you can buy it in the spice section of most stores)

5 pounds dry ice

Place 4 gallons of the cold water in a large container. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Pour in root beer extract and mix. Add the dry ice and put the lid on loosely so the gas can escape. Be sure that no one touches the dry ice with bare hands. It can freeze-burn skin in less than 5 seconds. Let it brew for about 15 minutes. Add the last gallon of water and let brew for another 15 minutes. Serves about 30 thirsty people who come back for seconds and thirds. You can also cut the recipe in half to serve about 15. If you want to really keep that dry ice going for a long time, I would recommend buying even more than 5 lbs! It's actually really easy, and looks awesome brewing out of a cauldron.

Yummy Mummy

Check out these awesome Halloween Food ideas from {The Idea Room}!
To make these Mummy Dogs, she just tears dough (Pillsbury crescent or something similar) into strips and wraps it around hotdogs, just like pigs in a blanket. She puts dots of ketchup or mustard on for the eyes and then bakes them at 350 for 12-15 minutes. I think it would be fun to serve them with a bowl of ketchup called blood also. :)

To make these Mummy Pizzas, she just uses bagels, spreads spaghetti sauce on them, and all other pizza toppings you'd like. Then she takes a stick of string cheese and tears it into strips and lays it on top to look like a mummy. Then she places olives on top for eyes. Since she uses bagles, she just broils these personal pizzas for about 5 minutes. In the past, I've made personal pizzas using Pillsbury biscuit dough and rolled them out so their flat. Then, I just add toppings and bake as long as the directions for the rolls say. Either way, I'm sure they'd be so yummy! Love these ideas for a Halloween Party - especially since even the kids could make their own.

Along with your personal pizzas, these would probably be good. I saw this on {Our Best Bites} and they have so many other ideas, but these were one of my favorites! Bones and Blood:Just roll bread dough out like you're making breadsticks and snip the ends then roll them backwards to make the bone shape. Serve with marinara sauce.

As long as we're on the mummy topic, I also saw these from {The Celebration Shoppe}

They're mummy cupcakes. She frosted them using M&Ms and then ran strips of frosting over by piping from the bottom up. You could do this to cookies too, I'm sure. So there you go - Lunch, Dinner and Dessert. You're set for Halloween!

Feeling of Fall

{Hooked On Houses} just posted about how she switched up just a few things in her living room to give it that Autumn Feeling.
Instead of torquoise pillows, she put out orange ones on the couches.

Instead of the torquoise tray, she pulled out a brown tray and books with a pumpkin on top for her coffee table. Why is it that collegiate things like books remind us so much of fall?

In stead of the yellow wire basket, she placed a white ceramic bowl full of pears and pinecones on the coffee table.

Instead of her yellow frame and torquoise accessories, she put a fall floral arrangement with some books and pumpkins on her mantle.

Great and easy ideas that make a big difference.

A Little Autumn Glamour

I LOVE my glitter pumpkins. They are my favorite decoration for this time of year! I love the way they look and I love the glam they bring into this season. It's kind of like the same feeling you get from Christmas decorations. And I'm also partial to them because I made them. It's so easy! You need:
-plastic pumpkins
-glitter
-spray adhesive
-clear coat spray sealer
-brown tole paint All you do is spray the pumpkins with spray adhesive. Then you sprinkle glitter all over them. I usually do it over something to catch the extra glitter so I can use it again. I sprayed the adhesive on then sprinkled glitter in sections because it would dry before I got glitter all the way around. It takes a LOT less glitter than you'd think! Then, when you're satisfied with your glitter coverage, spray the clear sealer on to make the glitter stay put...for the most part. Then, I painted the stems brown again because they got glittered up, too.
There you have it. Autumn Glamour. Go have some fun!

Fairy Wings for Tinkerbell & Peter Pan

Make It And Love It has a great tutorial for a Tinkerbell costume on her site right now, but what really impressed me was how she made the wings!!
Bent two wire hangers into wing shapes,Put cheap knee-highs around them,

Stuffed the ends in cardboard,

And covered the cardboard with pretty Tinkerbell fabric and attached strings so they could loop around her arms. So easy!! She's so creative.

Halloween Party

Amy Atlas is amazing. Doesn't this party look awesome!??

And all this yummy food is making my mouth water. Cupcakes with chocolate cones as witches hats and black twizzlers as hair...white chocolate brownie balls as ghosts...

sprinkle covered orange and yellow truffles...brown and orange candied apples...oh the list goes on. I can't hope to make a party look this good...just look at it and be inspired...that is all I ask.

Pinecone Wreath

{U Create} has this great guest post from V and Co. for a tutorial for making this cute pinecone wreath. It's something that could be hung up from now all the way until sometime after Christmas! Easy too! Check it out.

Pumpkin Decor

{Skip To My Lou} has a recent post about decorating with pumpkins. She has a lot of great and easy ideas. Here are a few of my favorites:

Isn't that so cute with the ribbon?? So easy, too.

This one looks easy too. Just modge podge a bunch of leaves to a pretty white pumpkin. This would look great during Thanksgiving, no?

And I like the stenciled letters on these pumpkins. So cute. I may have to try this one.

Pumpkin Candle

This is a really easy simple fall decoration I made. All you need is:

-one small fake pumpkin

-one pillar candle

-one fall inspired candle ring or garland

-brown spray paint

Just cut the top off and scoop out the middle, just like you would if you were going to carve it.

Spray the inside brown so the white styrofoam middle doesn't show as easily. I actually used a stain spray and sprayed the outside of the pumpkin because it was one of those cheap hot orange colored ones and I wanted it to look a little more muted.

Stick a candle in it. You may have to adjust the shape of the bottom of the hole you dug out to make sure the candle sits straight.

And stick a candle ring or garland on top. It's one of my favorite decorations, and it was so easy to make!

Doll Bunkbeds

Love what {Paddywack Designs} did with this table~

Painted it, turned it upside down, and added bedding. Voila~ Bunkbed! I'd use it for dolls.

Autumnise Your Chandelier

{Crafty Chicks} has this great idea for making the chandelier a little more Halloweenish.

Don't you love that lantern!? I'm not a fan of really scary looking Halloween decor, and spiders scare me more than almost anything else in this world, so it's a little creepy for me that it's a spider web. But I still really like it. I think it's the cute ribbon that makes it ok for me.

At my house I've just strung a little leaf garland around my chandelier and I really like the way it's looking.

Game Decor

{Shanty 2 Chic} has some AWESOME tutorials on their blog. I love these game inspired decorations. I would love to put them in a game/play room someday.

Halloween Tree

 Love this idea from {Woman's Day}. Not only does it make a great Halloween decoration, but it's a very creative way to give party treats away - if you're planning on having a Halloween party. To make the tree, just spray paint a branch black and then anchor it (I'd use plaster of paris). And then cover whatever is anchoring it with black rocks. It would look good just like that, or you could hang decorations from it too, but for the treat bags, you can click on the link and get the tutorial.

She just hung ornaments on it.

Or maybe her kids did. :)
