Fall Door Decor
{Thrifty Decor Chick} has these great ideas for decorating your door this season.
I especially love the idea to cover the wreath hanger with pretty ribbon. She just hot glued it on, and it makes it so much cuter!!

Simple Cheap Fall Decoration
I'm loving this simple idea from {The DIY Show Off}. If you don't have a lot of money to spend on fall decor, this is something you can still do. All she did was grab a pretty fall leaf outside.
She used twine to wrap it around a plain old white candle that you can get at the dollar store.

Shirt Texture
I've been loving all these pretty textured shirts out there lately. But I'm not willing to pay the price to get some. I feel like I can make some on my own, thank you very much. Here's some JCrew inspiration for you:

And I saw these on {The Pleated Poppy}.
Apperantly she's on the same wavelength as I am.
Here's some inspiration from {My Momma Made It}. These are three individual pins that she can move from shirt to shirt.

Fall Front Porch
I love this golden display of fall. This picture seems to capture almost everything I love about this time of year. What a pretty way to decorate a front porch! Love those golden pumpkins. You KNOW they're spray painted. I also love the flowers - I want to say they're probably mums. And the leaves top it off, don't they!? They don't even look bad! My husband would really disagree there...

Construction Party
Do you have a little guy obsessed with Construction and Tools?!
Talk about the perfect birthday party...with the more than perfect cake! I mean, it's pretty amazing, right?
This guy must have died and gone to heaven when he saw all these houses in his backyard all set up for his big 4-year-old bash!
All the party guests got construction hats and aprons with their names on them.
Their jobs were to paint these houses and install chimneys and a few other finishing items.

Faux Mercury Glass Pumpkins
Potterybarn sells these lovely Mercury Glass Pumpkins. They're beautiful, but pretty pricey...
...and they're glass. So chances of them lasting a long time are very slim.
{The DIY Show Off} has a tutorial and great idea for making some similar pretty pumpkins at a much cheaper price. They are also a lot more durable than glass...
She just spray painted some plastic pumpkins silver.
And then lightly flicked them with brown paint and a toothbrush so they looked splotchy like this:

Headboard Bench
The Lettered Cottage made this very cute bench using an old headboard as the back. Don't you love the way it looks!? If you want to make one like it, they've posted a {tutorial}. Check it out.Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Ice Cream Parlour

Isn't this cute! You can click on the one above to see it enlarged.
It's a self serve ice cream bar.
Doesn't it look yummy!?
And as great as it looks, if you really look at the spread, it looks fairly simple to create.
What a fun party treat idea!
{Eat Drink Chic} is where this came from and if you go to her post, she explains what everything is and how to set it up and even has templates you can download to label everything.

Branch Hooks

In honor of fall, I thought I'd share these really cute branch hooks I saw on {My Sweet Savannah} a while ago. Aren't they so cute!? Just looking at them reminds me of fall. I can smell the leaves right now! She sells them in her etsy store and there's a link from her blog to get there. But it also seems like you could make them pretty easily, doesn't it?Thursday, September 17, 2009
Legs as Candlesticks
Just saw this idea on {Our Cozy Nest}. She found these old furniture legs at an Estate Sale.
And decided they'd make a great pair of candlesticks.
