Side Table Make Over

Start with an old side table like this:
Add some this:
And some these:
So it begins to look like this:
And then screw these to the top:

Do you see where it's going yet? All you need is a little paint and a cushion and you've got a four poster doll bed.
Or cat bed...whatever. I think it's a pretty cute idea. See full instructions at {Junk Camp}.

Amazing Play Tent

Ok, this tent seen on {Ikat Bag} is just amazing!

It has it all, including very cute windows.
And drapes that can be drawn up.
Oh it's so cute! She did such a good job.
It even has a flower holder, and a room for their dolls.

Complete with a window, of course.
I can imagine this producing hours and hours of play time!! She even tells us how to do it. What a gal.

Wrapping Station

Check out this awesome work space I saw on My Sweet Savannah. This area would probably be a staple in my future craft room. I love gift wrapping, but I hate the mess of finding everything you need, dragging it all out to your work area, and then putting it all away. Having it all readily available like this would be so nice!

Rods for wrapping paper, celophane, and tissue paper. Spools of ribbon strung on a rod. Scissors hanging from pegs. Wrapping paper in a cute little basket like that. And of course some drawers for bags and such. I love it! Someday...

"Thrifty" Nursery

Sarah at {Thrifty Decor Chick} has made such a sweet little nursery for her little boy. I love so many things about it starting with this cute paint idea under the chair rail. Cute stripes.
These built ins are great. And have great decorations on them. She printed her pics on her printer, then glued them to paper that matched her room instead of paying for mats.
I love the "toys" on the toybox. And the shutters on the window.
So cute.
Great colors, too.
What a cute nursery!

Black, White, and Pink Party

This baby shower was created by Lindsey at {The Pleated Poppy}. It is stunning. Right down to the invites!

The Mother of honor was having two girls. Hence the Baby Chicks theme.

Birdcages lined the room with little pink nests inside.

Black and white pokadot tableclothes made the tables shine.
And the pops of pink really popped against them.

The pink Easter grass and newspaper birds nests on the tables were so cute!
They were adorned with tissue covered eggs.
And of course the hydrangeas made a statement, as they always do.
Each place setting had its own nest.
And a nest hung above them as well.

There were even birdie soaps!
And of course the food played into the theme. The water bottles were wrapped in wrapping paper to tie into the theme and served with raspberry lemonade.
And the cake was a birds nest.
This party was WAY too cute. I love it! Great use of the colors!

I found some more great use of these colors at {Hostess Blog}.

I love these candy filled jars! Cute decoration.
And those bows lining the table are adorable.

So cute.

Ribbon Lamp

Another very cute idea from {Make It And Love It}. I've seen ribbon lamps before, but I really like how these ribbons are tied around the lamp shade. It's so cute!

Kitchen Windowseat

I'm loving the idea of having a windowseat in my kitchen. It just adds so much to the space! I love the way they look and I love the way they'd be used. It makes these kitchens look so much more cozy. This first image I saw on A Life's Design. I LOVE it! I love the curtains. I love all the white. I love the use of natural colors and fabrics.
And I love those little spice containors inside that armoir and the bookshelf full of cookbooks. I have a thing for cook books. Anyway, love the windowseat most of all.

This one is from Candice Olsen's Divine Design. It really is divine, isn't it?
A little modern for my taste, but I do LOVE that windowseat. It's so inviting!

{JUST IMAGINE} had this image. It just about takes my breat away. How cute is that bay window with a windowseat all the way around and a round table in the middle. And that view makes it that much more stunning. Ps - I love the flowers.

I found this one on {SIMPLY NATURAL}. Nice kitchen with...
...an awewsome window seat. And I LOVE that floor! So cozy looking.

This one from {RED RIVER INTERIORS}. I like the cafe cutains, and look at all the storage! It looks pretty easy to build, too.
Potterybarn had this window seat - it's the same feel but no built in...
just a bench. I like how the table uses the bench as seating, though.
And I saw this in Ballard Design.
Very pretty, with a table again.

Hardware Re-Do

{Life in the Fun Lane} just renovated their kitchen and in the process did something so easy to their gold, outdated kitchen hardware.

I'm a little sad reading about this, because we renovated our kitchen about a year ago and took some perfectly outdated knobs JUST LIKE THESE to DI. I'm not the creative cat I thought I was, I guess. All I had to do was this:

And they would have looked like this:

Don't they look so good?!! You'd pay big bucks for hardware like these!! What a great idea. I guess next time I'm looking for some chunky hardware, I'll go to a thrift store and see if they have anything like these first. :)
