Monogram Sign

Isn't this gorgeous!??  Talk about a great wedding gift!  Wanna know how to make it??
Here are the supplies you need.
a canvas, a chipboard letter set, the initials, an ampersand, and hot glue.
Draw faint lines on the canvas where you want the letters to sit, just to make sure you make things straight.
Hotglue everything onto the canvas.
 So it looks like this:
Then, you just gotta spray paint it.  Any color would work, really.  But, I love the simplicity of this  antique white!!
Gorgeous!
Forget using it as a wedding gift, I wanna make one for myself!!  Visit {Shanty2Chic} for all the details, cause it was her awesome idea!

I Love You Books

Here's another great ide from {The Creative Homemaker} using these tiny books you can find just about anywhere...new or used.
She covered the outside using modpodge and fabric.
Then, cut paper to fit the book pages.
And modpodged or double stick taped them in.
Then she added numbers to every page, and gave each number a reason she loved the recipient.
I think it's a really cute gift for children from their parents.
Love the way she labeled them, too!  So cute!
And since Father's Day is rolling around, this might be a fun craft project for the kiddos to make for their Daddy, as well!

Pregnancy Pictures with Food

I love this idea I saw on {The Daybook}  If you ever need clothing inspiration, this is your blog.  She's amazing.  But, anyway, she's taking pregnancy pictures using food to show the actual size of her baby.  Such a cute idea!!  This {Baby Size Chart} gives you the low down on how big your baby inside is at different points in your pregnancy.  The idea is to pose holding the fruit or veggie.  I think it's a cute idea.

Silhouette Necklace

Isn't this the cutest!!!?
You can make your own with these supplies.
At least, {My Sweet Savannah} did.  Check out her {tutorial}.
Wouldn't this make a sweet Mother's Day gift??  It would also be cute as a charm bracelet.
I really love it.

From Chair to Frame

There are so many things you can do with a pair of junky old chairs.  But, I've never seen anyone do this.
She used the backs,
And created a pair of picture frames.
Gorgeous picture frames.  Isn't that creative!!  Awesome idea!  Visit {All Things Thrifty} for all the details.

General Conference Treat Buckets

I'm just loving this idea I saw on {Brown Paper Packages}!
She got these dollar buckets and labeled them with words often used in {General Conference
Then, she filled each bucket with a different kind of candy.
Then, she lined them up on the hearth in the room where her family would be watching Conference.
So, if the kids listened, every time they heard the word on one of the buckets, they could go get a piece of candy from that bucket.
Great lesson on listening...very motivational I think! :)
We used to keep a tally of different words said, just by marking them down on paper...I think this candy business would help kids pay attention longer than we used to. :)
I just love this idea!!

The Luckiest

I fell in love with this idea from {Crystal's Craft Spot} the moment I saw it!!
I love that Ben Folds song, and I love this reference to it.  It's a great St. Patrick's Day idea, but also something that would work all year round.
PS- That's not vinyl, people.  She shows us a surprisingly easy way to paint a sign board.

Rustic Elements

It's amazing what something old and weathered can do to a room, or a scene, or an outfit, even.
An old rusty lantern can be filled with such charm!
Old buttons and forks can be things of beauty.
Old jars can bring a homey feeling to any place.
An old, weathered board can tell such a wonderful story.
An old urn can be the most beautiful vase.
A piece of weathered wood can make a lovely table runner!
And old little jars can make some pretty stunning votives hanging in your own backyard.
Don't underestimate the value of age.

Chocolate Love Notes

Here's a cute idea from {The Mother Huddle}
She made the bag and cut strips of paper which she wrote love notes for her husband on.  Then, wrapped them around chocolates.  Easy, and meaningful.

DIY Block Ornaments

Love this tutorial for personalized block ornaments.
Supplies needed:
unfinished wood blocks - one per family member
mod podge
paper and pictures
cup hooks
ribbon
Just mod podge paper to the blocks - a picture on two opposite sides, their initial on a third, their name on a fourth, and scrap book paper on top and bottom.  Then mod podge on top of everything to seal it all.
Once they're dry, screw the cup hooks into the tops.
And tie ribbon onto the hooks as a hanger for the ornament.
Ta-Da!
All done!
I bet kids just love seing their pictures on the Christmas tree!!  And these are WAY cuter than the special ones they make at school. :)  But, these are simple enough to make that they could still help you make them.
I also think this would make a great Grandparent Gift idea!
Visit {Sisters Stuff} for all the details.

Merry Christmas!

Book of Thanks

I saw this idea on {eighteen25} and I totally want to copy it.
Her family has a Book of Thanks.
Every Thanksgiving, they each write what they're thankful for inside.
Great way to help everyone remember what the holiday's actually about.
I love this idea!!
