Lucky Dinner
How easy is this!? Nice idea from {The Girl Who Ate Everything} for a quick and easy St. Patrick's Day dinner.
Or here's a fun idea from {Lisa Storms}. I love how cute she is with food! She used a cookie cutter to cut shamrocks out of spinach tortillas. This would make a yummy chicken taco salad. Looks delicious.

St. Patricks Day Wreath
I love love LOVE this idea! Here's what you need.
Step 1: Make a shamrock out of wire.
Step 2: Make some bundles using clippings from your bushes (boxwoods are best).
Step 3: Attach the bundles to the shamrock shape using wire.
I'm kind of in love with the way this looks!! Such a cute St. Patrick's Day decoration!!! Visit {Blue Sky Confections} for all the details.

Rainbow Party
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd share a cute Rainbow Party idea.
Love how simple this idea is, but how bright and fun it can be!!
These pictures are from {The Pleated Poppy}
Great idea to hang tons of balloons from the ceiling.
I also love that rainbow spots table runner/strip of fabric.
This party was an art party, so I love the use of art supplies as a centerpiece!
Isn't that cute!?
What kid doesn't love making paper chains? They could help you make the decorations on this one. Love that idea.
Straws. Super cute.
Love this food idea! So healthy and so cute looking! We don't need skittles to taste the rainbow. :)
I also found this fun party at {Kara's Party Ideas} with some more great Rainbow Party ideas.
Love those paper flowers! Another great diy idea that kids can help make. They're just paper folded like fans - probably two pieces taped together to make a circle, and then they cut the ends to make them pointy. Love the way this looks! Such a pop of bright color!!
Chocolate covered cookies? Just dye the chocolate and dip. Super cute, and fun idea.
Love these colorful drinks!
A jar full of gumballs.
I love chocolate covered pretzels and the rainbow sprinkles on these make them a super cute addition to this fun party idea.
Another take on that rainbow fruit idea. Yummy fruit kababs.
I love this idea! We might have to eat a lot of these things on St. Patrick's Day. But, this would make a great party any time of year.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
If you're lame like me and made the waffles this morning BEFORE realizing it was St. Patrick's Day which CLEARLY means those waffles should have been green, and are just beside yourself with how easy it would have been to add some food coloring if you had ONLY remembered - ! - it's ok, you can still make a fun Leprechaun Lunch for your family. Just head on over to {Gourmet Mom on the Go} for this great little idea.
Nothing too hard here! Just some green food coloring in milk and frosting. And a gold coin... Isn't this super fun!! Love it and I'm sure the kids will too. :)

The Luckiest
I fell in love with this idea from {Crystal's Craft Spot} the moment I saw it!!
I love that Ben Folds song, and I love this reference to it. It's a great St. Patrick's Day idea, but also something that would work all year round.
PS- That's not vinyl, people. She shows us a surprisingly easy way to paint a sign board.

Shamrock Cupcakes
Just frost cupcakes with green frosting. Then, you buy a package of mini multicolored marshmallows and use the green ones. All you do to get that puffy petal look is cut the marshmallows in half with some scissors. Also, just cut a tiny strip to use as a stem. So cute! And so easy. My favorite combination. :)
*I've seen the other colors used as flower petals on cupcakes - so save the rest for Easter. :)

St. Patrick's Day Breakfast
For St. Patrick's Day, my mom always had a special breakfast, and that's a tradition I'd like to carry on in my family. Here are a few ideas.
Lucky Charms with milk that's been dyed green.
Yum!
Another idea I saw was to make shamrock pancakes.
It would be easy to make these if you had a metal shamrock cookie cutter. You could just set it on your griddle and pour batter into it and let it sit there until it was set. And of course you could serve up some green fruit as well.
Or even a green smoothie.
Get this recipe {here}
Or, here's a great recipe from {Gourmet Mom on the Go}
Shamrock Shake
Ingredients:
handful of ice cubes
handful or two of fresh spinach (don’t see why you couldn’t use frozen, but fresh sure is pretty)handful of frozen peach slices or other yellow or green frozen fruit
1-2 frozen bananas
1-2 cups of pineapple juice
1 apple, cubed (golden delicious is great, or granny smith)
Directions:Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend. Enjoy.
Note: You could add some tofu for protein and make a great, quick Breakfast.
Keep in mind
1) you can throw in whatever you want, but if you start mixing in red/dark fruits, the color gets muddled and less-appetizing-looking
2) enjoy responsibly: 5 days in a row can cause problems in the poop/diaper department, especially if your kids aren’t used to quite that much fresh goodness.

St. Patrick's Day Treats
I saw this recipe on {Bright Ideas}Green Popcorn Balls
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup unsalted butter, plus extra for coating bowl and hands
1 tablespoon water
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon green food coloring, optional
9 cups prepared popcorn
2 cups green M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate or Peanut Chocolate Candies
1 cup mini marshmallows
Candy thermometer
2 quarts heavy bottom pot
Wooden spoon or spatula
Large pot
Waxed or parchment paper
Cookie sheet
Cellophane (optional)
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup unsalted butter, plus extra for coating bowl and hands
1 tablespoon water
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon green food coloring, optional
9 cups prepared popcorn
2 cups green M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate or Peanut Chocolate Candies
1 cup mini marshmallows
Candy thermometer
2 quarts heavy bottom pot
Wooden spoon or spatula
Large pot
Waxed or parchment paper
Cookie sheet
Cellophane (optional)
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water and salt. Stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking without stirring for another 10 minutes, or until the syrup reaches the hard-crack stage—300ºF on a candy thermometer. Immediately remove from heat, add vanilla extract and food coloring and mix well.
In a large greased pot, combine popped popcorn with syrup, stirring constantly with a spatula or wooden spoon until completely coated. Stir in M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies and marshmallows. Once mixture is cool enough to handle, coat hands with butter and form 2 ½-inch balls. Place on tray lined with either wax or parchment paper until ready to serve, or, wrap in cellophane.

Here's a fun one from {Family Fun}

Pot of Gold
Ingredients3-ounce box of lemon-flavor gelatin
6 limes
Sugar
1 teaspoon of whipped cream
Instructions
Line an 8-inch square baking dish with plastic wrap, leaving several inches of overhang on each side (this will make removing the gelatin easier). Combine a 3-ounce box of lemon-flavor gelatin and 1 cup of boiling water in a medium bowl, stirring until the gelatin is dissolved. Stir in 1 cup of cold water, then pour the mixture into the baking dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill the gelatin for 4 hours or until firm, then slice the gelatin into 1/2-inch cubes.
Cut off the top quarter of each of 6 limes, then, without cutting into the fruit, slice a thin layer of peel from the bottom of each one to help them stand upright. With a small knife, cut around the inside of each lime's rind to loosen the pulp, then spoon it out to make a shell.
Place a pinch of sugar and 1 teaspoon of whipped cream in the bottom of each shell, then fill each lime pot with gelatin gold. Makes 6
Or, here's an easy treat.
It's just pistachio pudding, or any white flavored pudding with green food coloring in it, topped with whipped cream and little shamrock sprinkles! Love it!
