Patriotic Crafts

I love this simple decoration idea I posted about {last year}
Here is a how-to from {All You}
Kinda liking this wreath I found on the same sight.  I love how they look like fireworks!  {here} is the tutorial.
This flag is a PB inspired craft - taken from this image:
{Moody Girl Projects} has the tutorial for this one.
Love these ideas I saw on {Joys of Home}.  This first one is so cute and simple.  White frame, with a flag in it, decorated with a single antique star.  But, it's so cute!!
I REALLY love this idea.  Write the Pledge of Allegiance on a flag and frame it...it might be desecrating the flag, but I think it's really powerful.   I love it.
All together now...with this view, you can see how she decorated the pledge flag with a similar antique star - just to tie it all together.  I really love the way this all looks, don't you?!
A few more flags painted on wood....
...It's a really easy way to create a Patriotic piece of art.
And this last one is just a board, painted blue with "freedom" written on it, decorated with stars, of course.  I really like it, but especially where it's sitting with those candles behind and the old wood flag behind that.
Cute ideas!!

USA Parfaits

These creamy, fruity bits of goodness seem perfect for a hot summer day!  Not to mention, they're sorta patriotic. :)
This first one is from {Better Homes and Gardens}
This one from {Martha}.
This last one looks the most appetizing to me.  That graham cracker crumble on the bottom sounds so good!  Check out {Right at Home} for this recipe.

4th of July Party Inspiration

Loving this little scene from PB.  Cute little Uncle Sam hat.  Cute little American Boat.  Cute little blue and white striped cushions - perfect for all year long.  And how about that food tier!  So cute.  Pluse, love the patriotic colored goodies.
I'm really loving this one.  So simple, but SO SO CUTE!!  I'm trying to figure out how they made that flower arrangement.  Obviously white and red carnations in stripes in a basket, but the star part - I have no idea.  Maybe blue carnations with little white flowers as stars...or paper stars pinned on top of them.  What ever it is, I love it!
Looking for some great Patriotic Dinnerware?  {Sur la Table} has some cuties.

For the Love of the Sea Party

I saw this cute party on Kara's Party Ideas, courtesy of {Fete Fanatic}. I think it's just such an elegant party. Not too cutsy and kidsy.

Love the table setting. The bright blue table cloth with the rose petals on it, and the candles with the blue ribbon around them - and that hurricane filled with rose petals. Ah! And those ruffle placemats are adorable!! Not to mention the pokadot napkins.

How perfect are these goldfish crackers! And so elegantly displayed!

Of course crab legs to eat.
And I love this dessert. Looks yummy. What's a sea loving party without swedish fish, right? - I think this was the take home gift. :)

Cute ideas!

Red and Aqua Party

I'm a big fan of party signs like this at the entrance.

Look.  How.  Cute!  Love the use of red apples in a red bucket.  Also the apothecary jars full of different colored candy.  And the popcorn bags - perfect color!  Those take home bags look pretty cute, too - and easy: just paper bags with something turquoise glued to the front, tied with a red ribbon.
Aren't these cookies cute!  I like that they spell his name.

Close up of the apothecaries full of fun, colorful food.

CaaaUTE cake. :)

I'm also a big fan of buntings like this - especially when they're custom either with the name or colors of the event.

Oh, so sweet.  See more at {Design Dazzle}

Happy Memorial Day

A special thank you to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives so that I could live in such a great country.  We live in the land of the free, because of the brave.  May we never forget that.

Tasteful Patriotism

As always, Potterybarn has a tasteful take on how to decorate for Independece Day. I love it! Those pillows are so cute. And of course, the flag is great. Happy 4th of July!

4th of July Jelly Roll

What a lovely, summery, 4th of July dessert! Get the recipe {here}.

Cool Treat for the 4th

This just looks delicious! I don't know where it's from or what it is exactly, but I imagine it's raspberry sorbet topped with a white sorbet or whipped cream and blueberries. I love it! It's the perfect treat for a hot summer day. Happy 4th!

Star Treats

I saw these on Inchmark. Don't they look like such a fun festive treat for this weekend??!
Seems fairly easy, too. Make cookies, skewer them, frost them, and stick them into cupcakes.
So cute!!

Blue Party

I admit, I really like these party poufs. Just another example of how they can be used. Plus, I love the blue party theme. Don't those little candies look cute on that blue table cloth along with the candles? I love it.

Watermelon Sugar Cookies

I saw these on {Homemaking Fun} and thought they were a great idea for summer time! Sounds super easy - just add jell food coloring to the cookie mix and the frosting. Cute!

American Inspiration

Since we're nearing my favorite holiday, I've been looking for some inspiration... I'm a little obsessed with our Country. I think it's great. I love the colors. I love celebrating it! It's such a fun holiday. I once went into a basement that was decorated in American paraphernalia and I absolutely LOVED it! Someday, I might do the same thing. Why only bring these things out on the 4th?? Anyway, here are some things I want to do.

It might be fun to make a {bunting} with patriotic colors like this one from {Daisy's and Dots}.

{A Touch of Sunshine} has these cute pieces for sale on Etsy. I really like them. I might want them in some brighter colors, though. They're a little too antiqued for me.

This top hat is really cute, though.

And for some reason, I LOVE stars during the 4th of July. I love these!!

I really like the look of this sign and especially those stars, of course, from {Suzies Signs}. Although, again, it may be a little too antique for my taste.

VERY cute, though!

{Country Living} has a simple tutorial for how to make these Carnation Balls. I think they look so pretty and summery!! You just soak floral foam and cut carnations an inch below the calyx, then stuff them into the ball in a concentric pattern. Easy, and SO CUTE!

It seems like it would be pretty easy to make them with fake flowers too, so they'd last.

I always make a fruit pizza in the image of an American flag on the 4th of July, but {Diana's Desserts} had this really pretty idea.

Don't they look good?? I think it would be fun to make those cupcakes with red velvet cake mix for the 4th. I love the berries, though!

I saw this lovely scene on {Banquet Event}

Radio Flyers are as American as they get. I love that they're using it as a serving tray of sorts.

That pillow is so cute! I love using fabrics that have the American colors, but don't have all the fireworks and stars all over them.

It just makes me want to Celebrate the 4th, as it says.
