I kind of collect nursery pictures. There are so many ways to create a cute baby room! And I love looking at all these great ideas!!

I mean, don't you love how simple this room is?? And yet, it's adorable. Maybe baby stuff just makes it cute. I love the french chair and the pastel colors in this space! I love the simple bedding! I love the cute pillows, and I LOVE the little stuffed animals. So cute.

This is a really cute room, too. Love the pretty pastel pinks. I also love how they decorated those shelves above the crib. And that chair is adorable. Love the big bows on the crib as well.

This nursery is so masculine. It makes me feel like the little boy who lives in this space will grow up to be a stud. I love the moody colors!! Seriously. So cool. I love the bedding, too. Nice and neutral. I'd look to this room for ideas of what to put on a bookcase in a child's room. It's so cute! Love those elephant book ends and the globe and suit cases. What a cute nursery!

Love this neutral room, too. I love the pokadot chair!! I love the miniature ledges above the crib and the ceramic animals on them. LOVE that huge giraff. How cool is that?

I love this airplane room. My favorite part is that aviator jacket framed on the wall. I found a jacket like that recently at Ross and almost bought it just so I could do this!! Super cute. Love that airplane cart on the ground back there...I want one. It's just so cool. My son would be in heaven.

This room is adorable!! I love the pretty little table. I love the pretty crib. I love that horse cart. I love the colors, and the rug. It's just a pretty baby room.

Cozy Christmas

Sometime I think it would be fun to spend Christmas in a cozy little cabin somewhere.

Something about the simplicity of it really appeals to me. Just sitting around sipping hot cider and enjoying the company of those you love sounds so nice.

Being able to walk outside and feel the snow falling in isolated silence.

To be able to actually use real pine bows and berries in your holiday decorating, complete with real candles, sounds wonderful.

I would love to be able to walk outside and find pine cones in the woods.

To see the snow falling and slowly covering everything in sight sounds so relaxing.

To go on long evening walks through snow covered woods sounds very romantic.

There's something so enticing about a homemade pie.

There's something so inviting about a real wood burning fire.

Something about homemade foods and drinks bring out the best in family time.

I'm one of those nuts who actually loves wrapping presents, so every time I see a pretty present I pause to admire it. :)

Even just presents as simple as "brown paper packages tied up with bows" looks so adorable!! I also love these presents wrapped with sheet music. Lovely!

Love it when they all sorta match...am I starting to sound OCD?? It's amazing what a little bit of ribbon can do! Wonders!!

So gorgeous! Love the white and especially the snowflakes in this beautiful bow!!

How cute is this!? Stamping their names on the paper instead of using stickers and such. Looks adorable, plus it's a lot easier to read.

Or, you could do initial tags. These are adorable as well. Love them, and they could totally be reused.

How cute is this package!! I love the twine! I love the use of pine branches and pine cones! I really love the plain wrapping paper. Not a big fan of the printed stuff.

Deck the Halls

Here are some fun ways to deck out your entire home for Christmas.

Love this pretty garland running up the stairs!

But I think I love the wreaths hanging from these stairs even more! It's adorable! I also love how they added a garland to a really remote area of the home - it almost looks like a back entry - but it deserves to look like Christmas, too, right?

Look close at the pictures above the bed. There is mistletoe hanging from them! Pictures above a bed are a really cute idea, and the mistletoe is adorable for Christmas time.

Love the garlands on the windows in this room, and the presents on the shelf.

My favorite evergreen is definitely a boxwood. I LOVE them! The leaves are just so much prettier than needles, in my opinion. And this wreath hanging by the kitchen sink is perfect. I want a wreath hanging in front of my sink! The ornaments are adorable as well. What a great idea!

Wooden Doll Nativity

I fell in love with this Spool Doll Nativity from {Holes in my Shiny Veneer}. Here's {part 2} of her adorable nativity, in case you're interested. So, I set out to make my own.

Within a week, I came across this wooden nativity backdrop at Target for only $2.50! I was seriously so excited! Then, I went to get some wooden spools and doll heads at the craft store and while I was looking I saw these little unfinished wooden doll bodies:

They already have a head and I love skipping steps, so I bought them. They have two different sizes, too. Perfect for a nativity, since you need a smaller one for baby Jesus.

Anyway, I spent an hour one day cutting scraps of fabric and ribbon and hot gluing them onto these dolls. The link mentioned above has a great tutorial which I looked at just to get ideas and see how she did things. For me, it was as easy as cutting strips of fabric and wrapping them around the doll bodies, and in some cases their heads. Then, putting on embellishments to create different characters.

I'm absolutely in love with the way they turned out!! And my son was very excited with each new addition I put out for him to put in his "house".

I might eventually paint faces on them, but I'm kinda worried I'll totally mess them up, and I kind of like them faceless...

It's a perfect little durable nativity that my little guy can play with to his hearts content without me worrying about him breaking something. And even if he did, the whole thing cost under $8.00, so it wouldn't be a big deal. I think this is a really cute and easy way to help my 3 year old understand the real meaning of Christmas. We love playing "Baby Jesus" with them, and I hope we will continue to play with them year after year.

Just some decorating ideas for your Thanksgiving table.

Sweet and simple corn bundles sitting on top of a bare table. Love that huge wreath!

3D Felt Pumpkin

start with a piece of felt cut to size to fit in a frame of your choice.

cut 8 pumpkin shapes outta orange felt.

fold a pumpkin in half and hot glue along the fold.

glue it onto the felt background and repeat for all the pumpkin shapes.

so the glued edges of the folds are all right next to eachother

cut a tiny green spiral

glue one end of it to the top of the pumpkin along with a brown piece as a stem

put it in the frame and cross-stitch "give thanks" onto the felt.

Acorn Ball

Isn't this pretty!? I love the way it looks, and I think it would be a good transition piece between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Spray paint a foam ball brown.

Get a bunch of acorn tops.

Glue them to the ball and then brush some mod podge on the edges and sprinkle them with glitter.

Thread Ball Pumpkin

I'm not exactly sure what these balls of thread are called, but I think this is a super cute and easy idea! Just stick a stick in the center of it, wrap some twine around to create the pumpkin "stripes" and attach a leaf and some curly wire to the top. Voila! Pumpkin! I think it would be super cute with a ball of yarn as well. Love fun and easy ideas like this!

"Fall" Pumpkin

This is seriously adorable. And here's how you make one of your very own:

Start with a fake pumpkin.

Tape off the stem.

Then, stick some 3D stickers on the pumpkin.

Spray paint the whole thing in a color of your choice.

And then, she made it super cute by adding some burlap flowers.

LOVE these!! I might wanna make a necklace using some burlap. :)

Talk about adorable!!! And I'm also in love with the dried hydrangeas in that bowl and the tall vase full of tiny pumpkins and pinecones!!

Cutest Garbage Ever!

Yep, this is a garbage. Amazing, right!? I want one!!!

Apparently, she bought this thing, but I've never seen one for sale anywhere, so I'm thinking I might need to have hubby make one for me at some point. It looks simple enough. In fact, you could probably just purchase a cabinet and change the direction the door opens! Then, just add a stand at the bottom for the garbage can to rest on. Love this idea!

Fall Outside

Here are some great little ideas for that front porch of yours.

I have long time been a fan of this Martha Steward Fall front porch! I love the monochromatic color scheme! GOLD. Love how some of the pumpkins have a metallic sheen to them. And the pots of mums just make it for me! Oh, it's so pretty!

I love the idea of mixing flowers with pumpkins! It really dresses those pumpkins up a little! This would be so cute on a front porch.

Always a fan of the lantern idea from Potterybarn. Love the tiny pumpkins surrounding those candles!! And the larger pumpkins and leaves filling the other lantern is really cute, too.

As much as I love the vibrancy of the front porch shown above, this one with the muted oranges and browns is really speaking to me this year. I LOVE that huge leaf wreath. How easy must that be to make!!? Also loving all the rattan and grapevine pumpkins, in place of real pumpkins. LOVE the huge lanterns and the leaves spread over the ground. And I'm also really loving the hay bails. I don't usually, but in this case they look awesome! The table full of candy apples is a nice touch, too. :)

I really like the idea of putting pumpkins in urns like this. The urns could stay on your porch all year round, and then you'd just have to change the filling to fit the season. Love this idea.

Another bunch of pretty lanterns...I really like the idea of filling them like vases, and with pumpkins it's adorable!

And lastly, a metallic scheme for you. Love the sheen of those pumpkins!! And that arrangement next to the door is adorable! Also loving the pretty little pumpkins perched above the door - that's a cute idea if you have a transom like that. And I REALLY love the arrangement on the door. No wreath here. It's a fun new shape and I think it looks great! Kind of like a metallic cornucopia. Love the "boo" next to it, as well. :)

Kitchen Inspiration

Just another collection of beautiful kitchens.

Love that this one has two dishwashers!! Perfect for a busy kitchen! It's so light, bright, and airy.

This is definitely one of my most favorite kitchens of all time. Love the copper countertops, and the wood island. I also love those copper pots!! And the pizza oven is awesome. It's the perfect mix between old world/tuscan style and modern style.

I really like the green in this kitchen. So fresh!

This one just looks homey. I'm a big fan of islands in a different color, it adds a lot of character. I also love the huge window in this kitchen.

This one just seems so family-oriented! I love the huge island!! This kitchen is just huge, and I always love a kitchen that opens up in some way to the family room. Love the dark countertops with the white cabinets, too!

This one just seems like the perfect summer kitchen to me! I love the huge farmhouse sink, and the pretty white cabinets and countertops just feel so cool. But, I love how the dark wood floors ground everything.

LOVE this kitchen!! I love that hunge island/bar. I think it's very clever of them to use the end of the island as a bookshelf - perfect spot for all those cookbooks. I also love the creamy color of the cabinets in this kitchen.

Another light and bright kitchen that is grounded with the dark wood flooring and dark countertops. I love the contrast!! Love the size of this kitchen, too! It's huge!!

Here's a great idea - 2 sinks. Why not!?

Thought this was a cute idea. I like how the island is exactly opposite the rest of the kitchen. Dark cabinets and light countertop, vs dark countertops and light cabinets everywhere else.

I love all the pretty open cabinets in this kitchen! It only seems like it would work if you had a ton of them so you have the space to set everything up so it looks pretty. :) Love the three cakestands sitting on the counter as well - they're a really cute and functional decoration!

I love the color of the cabinets in this kitchen! It's a great size, with a lot of great features. I love the pretty window cabinets next to the fridge!!

I love the idea of using an apothecary jar to hold garlic cloves. Cute and functional - the pefect kitchen decoration! I also love the idea of putting vases full of flowers next to the kitchen sink. I gotta start doing that - it makes the sink feel so much more inviting.

This is another one of my very favorite kitchens. I love the tuscan feel of this one with the tile backsplash and deep wood tones. It just seems very rich and warm.

A Set of Bow Holders

I recently was contacted by a customer wanting something a little more sophisticated in the bow holder department. She had a ton of bows she needed holders for an a larger area to fill, so instead of getting a huge frame for her, we decided to make a set of matching bow holders.

I love the way these turned out! So pretty!! I think the colors she wanted were just so elegant.

Very feminine...almost French feeling, to me.

I loved working with her on this order and making something a little different than the usual.

I think they turned out super chic and just had to show off the finished product!

DIY Wood Cuttingboards

Since seeing a few choice pictures from Potterybarn like the one above, I've been on the hunt for some vintage wood cutting boards. Do you see those super cute round ones on top of this hutch? I think they are the perfect accessory for a tuscan inspired kitchen, regardless of shape or size!

Enter: this awesome idea from Centsational Girl.

She made her own.

Went to a reclaimed wood shop, got some old wood.

made a "cutting board" shape and traced it.

Cut it and sanded it down.

Then, oiled it up with mineral oil.

I think I might have made them a bit thinner, and rounded the edges a little....and I might have done a round shape. But, I guess I can, now that she put this awesome idea out there!! Thanks,{Centsational Girl}!

Velvet Pumpkins

I saw these on {The Lettered Cottage} and about died. Can you tell what they are? Take a closer look.

These little sweeties are made out of plush velvet! Aren't they adorable!!!?

I just LOVE the way they look. So warm and comforting - perfect for autumn!

So, you can buy them at {LoveFeast Life Shop} but I also think they might be kinda easy to try to make using a circle of velvet, stuffing it with stuffing, then gathering and gluing the ends around a real pumpkin stump.

Because, seriously, the stump sort of makes the whole pumpkin. It's adorable!!

Here are the supplies you need.

a canvas, a chipboard letter set, the initials, an ampersand, and hot glue.

Draw faint lines on the canvas where you want the letters to sit, just to make sure you make things straight.

Hotglue everything onto the canvas.

So it looks like this:

Then, you just gotta spray paint it. Any color would work, really. But, I love the simplicity of this antique white!!

Sitting Rooms

Here's a collection of sitting rooms I've gathered over the years. I use them to give me decorating inspiration from time to time.

I love the window treatments in this room. I love Roman shades so much better than miniblinds. And I love this relaxed style of Roman shade. Also loving that huge vase full of lilys.

This room just seems amazingly calming to me. It must be all the white. I love how simple everything is.

Love this room! Those twin chases are adorable! What a great place to cuddle up and read a book! I imagine that they face a wall full of windows with a beautiful view. I also love that art on the wall! It almost looks like fabric with embellishments on it. Loving the ruffle pillows as well.

The French pieces in this room are really sweet to me. I love how cushy those couches seem! Also loving the many flower arrangements. I really like how this room feels really comfortable and cozy, but has that touch of sparkle and glamour to dress things up a bit.

Obviously, I love the chandelier! And that mirror is stunning, right?

Another super cozy sitting room. I love the touches of antiques in here. And I also love the window treatments. The flower arrangements on the coffee table are pretty, too.

Very symmetrical - but I love how that birdcage is off center. It gives the room some interest. Loving the calming colors in this space as well.

I especially love what they've filled the fireplace with. What a great idea when it's not in use! Other than that, everything in this room just seems really comfortable - the pillows, the throws...love it.

I kinda just love this room because it's so girly! What a pretty parlor! I'm especially loving that tufted ottoman and the tray sitting on it is adorable! Love those flowers!

Pretty little sunroom, eh? I love how it's so tropical feeling. Love the furniture, and the shutter window coverings. All the plants are a great touch too.

Love the mirror in this one!!! Seriously, love it~ Those candlesticks are gorgeous as well. Also, the cream color scheme is great in this room as well. I love the use of different patterns in the accessories. They all tie together really well without being matchy.

I mostly love this room because of the way they decorated those shelves. Turning those books around so the pages are all you see makes things a lot more uniform, I think. I love the way they look! I also love the accessories they threw into those shelves.

I really love the pale blues and greens in this room. Very calming. I also think that pillow ladder in the back corner is adorable! Lovc the coffee table. It's very unique. And I love what they've put on it. The lantern, the flower arrangement...

This is probably a nursery, but I think it would work anywhere. And I also think it's a great idea to have baskets like that in rooms throughout the house to put toys in, because they inevitably end up throughout the house. LOVE what they've done with the window treatments in here! I think the knots are adorable! What a great bay window! Perfect little sitting area.

This room just reminds me of a beach house. Loving the whitewashed paneled walls. I also really like the flower arrangements in here. And the furniture is just really great.

This Room Is Beautiful!! I love it! I love that it opens up to a patio - with not one, but two sets of french doors! I love that the flooring is tile. I love the beamed ceiling. I love all the natural light in here! And I love the furniture. Those window treatments are great - casual and nice at the same time. It just seems so inviting.

I am in love with the window treatments in this room as well!! There are so many things you can do besides put blinds in windows!! Sheers and curtains are my favorite. Cute lamp, too. It's filled with seashells. Love the dark wood flooring.

How lovely is this!!? I am in love with all the windows!! They let in so much light!! I also love the sitting area. I think all entry's should have a place to sit. I love how elegant everything is, too. The pretty fabrics, and the fancy furniture, not to mention the gold accessories and the flowers. Lovely.

Here is one a little more rustic. What a view!! I'd keep that door open all the time. It almost looks like this house is located in the Italian countryside. Love the terracotta tile floors, and the massive double front doors. Also loving the exposed beams. The table is nice and sweet, but I think they could use a chair or two in here.

Here is a mix between glamour and rustic. I love the door. So pretty. I also love the cozy feel the old furniture and accessories bring in. This just looks like a house that's been around for a while. Loving the crown molding - what a great way to dress up the entry!

Pretty Little Things

I'm all about organization, but sometimes I think it's ok to leave things out in the open. Especially if they're pretty. Love this little necklace bowl! And paired with the vintage books, and flowers, it looks great and I think it probably really adds to this space. What a lovely thing to have in a dressing room!

Boys Rooms

As we get ready to move our toddler from his nursery into a little boys room, I've been collecting some inspiration. Here's what I've got so far.

Love restoration hardware. I don't understand why it's so hard to find the most basic bedding sometimes. I love the simple stripes. No character beds for my little guy. Also loving the truck on the floor. How cool is that old thing!! Jason would love playing with it. The vintage clip boards hanging on the wall are a fun idea, too.

I've always loved the nautical look. This room is so simple, yet really cute. I love how all the furniture and even the wall covering ties into the theme. Cute little paddles resting against the wall...

I've always had a thing for airplanes. And this room is one of my all time faves. LOVE the giant world map on the wall!! How easy would it be to do that yourself using a projector!? Also loving the compass above the bed, and of course the airplanes. The bedding is adorable, as well. i love the mixed stripes and plaids. Might try to make a quilt like this. It's just strips of fabric sewn together.

And another airplane room. This is a nursery, but I think a lot of this room could translate toward a boys room. Love the airplanes on the wall, and the giant ridable one, too. I gotta find one of those!! I'm also in love with the miniature aviator jacket hung in the frame. How cute is that!!?

Loving the colors in this room. I love the way that name looks above the bed - like giant type setting. Also love the globe and the little traveling figurines - the elephant, the hat, the giraff, the basket. All really cute.

Here's a cute baseball themed room. If I were going to go with baseball as a theme, I'd try to pattern it after this one. Isn't that bucket of balls cute~!?

More stores need to get in on the similar bedding in different colors trend. It seems like Potterybarn is the only one to get the memo. Makes it so much easier to make a shared room look nice!!! I love the "matching" bedding in this boys room. It's just a standard boys room, but the similar bedding makes it look really good.

This may be one of my favorite shared boys rooms of all time. So simple, yet so cute!! I LOVE the similar bedding in different colors. It gives each child a sense of identity even though they are sharing a room. I also love the black and white posters of different sports hung above the beds. Maybe the child's favorite sport could be showcased here.

Bright Party Ideas

Lately, I've been putting together some ideas for a party full of bright colors.

Here are some of the things I've found.

This is probably my favorite inspiration! Love the bright tangerine table runner!! I also LOVE the bright flower arrangement and the colorful serving dish. Love the colorful cups, too.

A great and easy way to make a party bright is to add bright flowers.

Loving the bright green table runner in this shot and the bunches of different bright flowers.

Just loving the use of the bright green and pink.

Thought this was a cute and easy idea for a drink. Just different bright colors.

However, this drink is probably my favorite party drink. It's just raspberry sherbet in your choice of soda. You could throw in a few raspberries to make it super yummy.

Fruit is a great bright party food - look at those colors! I love the pieces of cheese mixed in to these kababs.

Of course, you could also serve sherbet as a food, too.

Another great way to make the food seem bright, is to set it out on bright pieces of tissue paper.

And one last bit of inspiration... Love the party poofs, as usual.

Isn't this pretty!? I love that long, weathered wood plank in place of a table runner! It just adds something extra. Something old, and natural. I really love the way it looks.

Love the giant old lantern in this one and that weathered wooden bowl. Lovely.

Such sweet little milk jars used as hurricanes for candles - Again I love the old mixed with the new here.

So elegant.

I love the idea that an old suitcase can be used as a picnic basket. I wanna come!

However, I am a big fan of actual picnic baskets as well. There is something so charming about them.

Such a pretty juxtaposition between the polished silver on the tray and the rusted metal of the table and chairs. It's just charming.

I really love the use of burlap as a tablecloth in this setting. And the mason jars used for flower vases is pretty cute, too.

What a lovely picnic! Oh, summer! You are so fun.

Summer Movie Night

This just looks like the perfect summer night activity! Wish I had a backyard like that!! I love the hanging basket lights and those awesome lounges. Of course, the giant movie screen is pretty awesome too - easy to make using wood for a frame and a white sheet, stretched across it. Looks like tons of fun.

Milk & Cookies Baby Shower

I am so in love with this party! I've seen this idea before, but I just loved the way this one looked!!

Cute idea to have ultrasound pics from the momma there...

LOVE the old fashioned milk jars, and how all the cookies are in glass jars and vases.

And even though the jars aren't all the same, they match cause they're all glass, and because they all have the same tissue paper at the bottom, and the same little label. So cute!

Who doesn't love cookies! Seriously, this just seems so easy to pull off, but ends up looking adorable!

Love how the milk jars are set in an ice filled vase. Also love the party poofs hanging from the ceiling - these dress up ANY party!

Cute little straws...All just brown and blue for colors. Easy, peasy!

I love that these are real plates and cups, too! That really dresses it up, don't you think?

Boredom Busters

Summer's almost over, but I saw these great ideas, and wanted to document them.

Sweet & Sophisticated Rooms

Just a collection of girls rooms I've picked up along the way...

I love how grown up this room feels. The grey really brings the pink down a notch or two, which I love because I think pink is really overwhelming. This room would be perfect for a girl at ANY age.

I just think this room is adorable!! I love the soft colors, and the oh so light pink used. So chic!!

This room just has a lived in feel. I love that it's not "perfect" or matchy. But everything still looks great!

Another barely pink one. I really like the color of the wood furniture in this room!! Maybe I'm loving grey right now... I think it goes so well with pink!! Love the wingback bed. This is another room that would be great for a girl of any age.

I really love the grey ceiling in here! It really offsets the crown molding, which is beautiful! That porthole mirror above the bed is awesome! And I love the barely pink bedding. It's another room that could grow with someone.

I love the idea of framing a baby dress...perhaps a blessing dress, in a little girl's room. It looks so cute! Again, I love the grey in here. Here is the "little girl" version of this room, but it's another one that with a few changes, could grow with a child for a really long time.

And lastly, a lovely lavender room! The grey mixed with the purple is so pretty, isn't it!!? It almost makes the grey seem like a shade of purple. I love this room. I love all the neutral elements. This room could have any color of bedding and would still look great!

Flower Flag

The moment I saw this potterybarn image, posted about {here}, I fell in love with that carnation flag decoration!

So much so that I immediately began my plans for recreating it. It looked simple enough, and boy was it ever!

All it took was a shallow rectangle basket, a foam board, and a bunch of patriotic carnations.

I just stuck em into the board in the pattern of a flag.

Oh, and I guess I used some small white flowers as stars. Those are hot glued onto the blue carnations.

All in all, I'm super happy with it!

I used fake flowers so I could pull it out year after year, but I'm sure it's even more stunning with real carnations!

Wizard of Oz Party

Who doesn't love the Wizard of Oz and it's sentiment that There's No Place Like Home?

I love what Dorothy says:

"...I think that...if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard."

What great advice! So, here are some fun Wizard of Oz party ideas I've been collecting.

Here's one of my favorite decoration ideas: apple tree centerpieces. The bright red is perfect for the theme, and of course, so are the apples. I also think baskets are a MUST for an Oz party.

I love the use of blue gingham as a decoration as well. For this party, just stick to the primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. So cute! Love the big red bows, too!

Another creative use of blue gingham, red, and yellow.

I love the blue gingham tablecloth in this one! With the red trays and accents! LOVE those yellow roses!! And the baskets are a really cute touch here, too.

If you have a ceiling to decorate, it might be fun to create a Somewhere Over the Rainbow effect like this. You could use draped fabric, hang balloons from the ceiling,

Hang party poofs from the ceiling,

Or even string streamers from one side to the other in a rainbow pattern.

For treat ideas, this one's easy - just yellow cupcakes with cute gingham ribbon tied around. I love the signs in them as well.

Love this cookie idea! They're yellow bricks!! So cute!

Here's one you don't have to make! Just ding dongs - the witch is dead. :)

Cute cake pops.

You could shape food into hearts - a good theme from the movie. Or use yellow food, like the macaroni and cheese shown above.

I love it when food matches the theme in both color and meaning! Also, totally love the use of baskets for trays and displays here. It's so cute!!!

In addition to the apple tree centerpieces shown above, another idea is hot air balloons.

If you don't want actual balloons, you could make paper mache ones like the gal at {Witticisms} did. Her's turned out really cute, I think!

{One Charming Party} has some GREAT game ideas, as well as some fun take home gift ideas like these certificates for completing the various games they played.

I love those heart necklaces!!! And the courage badges are cute as well.

Plus, all the guests got to take their prizes home in one of these adorable baskets!!

Another activity idea might be to make some Jam, like Auntie Em's Berry Jam. Then, the guests could take those home.

And of course it would be adorable to give everyone ruby slippers to wear during the party! Or it might be a really fun to make them as an activity!! You could even make ruby flip flops! ha!

Here's another great ide from {The Creative Homemaker} using these tiny books you can find just about anywhere...new or used.

She covered the outside using modpodge and fabric.

Then, cut paper to fit the book pages.

And modpodged or double stick taped them in.

Then she added numbers to every page, and gave each number a reason she loved the recipient.

I think it's a really cute gift for children from their parents.

Love the way she labeled them, too! So cute!

And since Father's Day is rolling around, this might be a fun craft project for the kiddos to make for their Daddy, as well!

Drive Thru Bike Wash

When I {saw this} I thought it looked like a really fun activity for kids. They could even help create it! Just a bunch of colorful sponges and pipes and sprinklers could make for hours of enjoyment!!

Watermelon Pie

Looking at this just makes my mouth water! I saw it on {Make and Takes} and had to post the recipe here for safe keeping.

Ingredients:

- Lime Sherbet
- Vanilla ice cream or Pineapple sherbet
- Red/Pink-colored sherbet
- mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. For each flavor, you’ll let the sherbet/ice cream soften for a few minutes before using. The red sherbet should be mixed with the mini chocolate chips.

2. Use a round springform pan. You may want to line the bottom of the pan with wax paper or parchment paper if you plan to transfer the entire “pie” to another dish before serving. I served the slices on plates straight out of the freezer, so I didn’t line the pan. It’s actually cuter sliced!

3. Starting with lime, spread a ring of sherbet around the edge of the springform pan – about 2 inches high (or taller if you want!), and about 1-2 inches wide from the outside edge of the pan.

4. Put pan in freezer to harden lime layer.

5. Repeat step 3 with the vanilla, but make the layer much thinner – maybe 1/2 inch. Use a butter knife to flatten the top, even-ing out the lime with the vanilla. Put pan in freezer to harden again.

6. Repeat step 3 with the red/chocolate chip sherbet. Fill the rest of the pan, then use a butter knife to flatten the top. Freeze!

7. When it’s time to eat, run a knife around the edge of the pan before popping off the outside of the springform pan. Use a nice thin-blade knife to slice.

Yum!!

And fairly easy to pull off, all things considered. Love the gummy worms and lollypops. There are tons of green and brown candy to choose from out there! And leaves and twigs and wood are pretty easy to find if you ask me.

I love the use of baskets - and how the little logs hold the names of the foods behind them.
