Little Hands Mother's Day Card

Last year, I made a Mother's Day card for my our Nana aka Grandma using this idea from {A Day in My Life}:
We put the hands inside the card, and used stickers for the letters.  It was really cute and, she LOVED it.  So, this year, I thought we'd better do another hand-made card - pun intended.
I love sticker letters!  Makes it so cute when the little ones put them on!  And you don't have to worry about them messing it up too bad. haha.

I adore the upside down "r", in fact.

  I think she'll love it.

So, we traced their hands again, and folded the fingers around flowers for Nana.

I helped him cut circles with our circle cutter, and then cut slits in the sides to make petals.  Then we glued buttons to the middle.  It was a pretty easy flower, and I think it has a super cute effect when all together.

Happy Mother's Day!

Foyer

Really loving this entry foyer from {Country Girl Home}!  I love the wall color!  I lovveee the wainscotting - how high it is.  That it's white, and simple.  LOVE the line of pictures.  I always assume a mirror has to go there, but I love the picture idea.  Love the interior wreath - who says outside gets all the fun?  I think the only thing that would make it absolutely perfect for me would be some dark wood floors. :)
And let's talk about this gorgeous table.  White, and dark wood.  Love the suitcases!!!  I love the urns with the hydrangeas in them.  Love it!!  I want one.

Pink Lemonade Party

I recently put together a Birthday Party for my Relief Society and thought it came together so well that I'd share it with ya'll.
I got most of my inspiration and decoration from {Sugar Tot Designs} who put together all these free printables just for us!  So sweet.

I used part of her design to give out this invitation to each sister.  Here is a {PDF} or {Word Doc} of it.  You'll have to download the fonts I used to see it like this.  They are Abermarle Swash and Cinnamon Cake.
I also created this print out to put up on the board to advertise.  {PDF} {Word Doc} I had it printed at Office Max and make a little paper bunting to hang across the top at an angle.  Should have snapped a pic of it.  It was simple, but super cute.

Then, I found this printable quote at {chocolate on my cranium} and edited it to fit my color scheme.  If you'd like to print this one, just click on the pciture and print it.

Here it is in action on our food table, surrounded by flowers in a mason jar, lemon heads in an apothecary, and a pail full of getting to know you questions.  I thought it looked pretty cute.

We also decided to create little bookmark type handouts to put at each seat for the sisters to take home.  Here's a {PDF}.

We kept things really simple with pink tableclothes and jars of flowers on each table.

The ceiling made it kinda fun.  I strung balloons attached to ribbons acroos the ceiling, along with streamers.

We had the tables set up in a circle and had sisters only sit on the outside so everyone could see and hear everyone else.  That made it easier to listen to each other as we each answered our "getting to know you" questions.

For Dinner, we just had a salad bar complete with croissants and chicken salad.

I made this bunting using paper and curling ribbon and double stick tape.  Super easy, and dressed it up a little.

And of course, the cake had one to match.

All the cakes got little flags to match as well.

I thought this tres leches cake from Sam's Club was worth every penny!  Super cute and we didn't have to make it!

The night turned out great.  Good food, good company, and good times listening to people answer interesting questions about themselves.

It was a really low key evening, but that's kind of what made it nice.

Easter Decor

I think this is really cute.  Love the colors.  Love the rosette balls and the idea of using them for more than one holiday.  I have some from Valentines Day, and after looking at this picture, they look really cute for Easter, too!  And the egg bouquet is adorable.  Must try.

Easter Eggs

I love these little eggs!

Just throwing them in a nest makes them cute this time of year!

Or putting them in some cute apothecary jars!

They're cute all by themselves.

Adorable.

They look great in any kind of basket.

I love the way this looks - the grass with the eggs on the stand.

Nothing says Easter like Easter Eggs.

Easter at Potterybarn

If anyone knows how decorate for a holiday and throw a gorgeous party, it's Potterybarn.
This year, I'm loving their Happy Easter banner - so simple, yet so cute.

Loving all the beaded eggs, which kinda look easy to make using wire and beads.

Love the pretty branches every year, and paired with these adorable baskets, it's just perfection.

The silver mixed with white and yellow is so pretty!

This basket is by far my favorite of the bunch!  I love it!!  So simple, I might try to make my own.

Pretty pretty!.  I love haning easter eggs from pretty branches!

Another adorable twig basket!

Love these blue pillars!!  And the sparkling candles are always fun.

How gorgeous is this table!!?  I love the yellow!

More pretty silver and flowering branches.

Can't wait to use some of these ideas to decorate my house!
Thanks, {Potterybarn}
