Frilly Filters

It takes all of these supplies, and a little bit of time spent folding and glueing to make this:
Isn't it lovely!!?  Reminds me of snow and a winter wonderland!!
The great thing is, you can also do it to a cone like this and make a snow tree like this:
She just started at the bottom and worked her way to the top, snipping a few at the tippy top to make a point.
Literally stunning.  Perfect for a winter wedding, if you ask me. :)
Visit {Nesting Place} for more info on how she made these.

Merry Christmas!

Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

Just a fun little idea for something the girls can do this weekend. :)

Here's the recipe as seen on {Under the Table and Dreaming}:

Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

{use as a hand scrub or body scrub}

2 Cups of Brown Sugar

1 Cup of Granulated Sugar

2 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Pie Spice

1 Cup + 1 Tablespoon of Sunflower, Safflower, or Vegetable Oil

Mix Brown Sugar, Granulated Sugar and Pumpkin Pie Spice together, making sure there are no lumps.Add in oil and mix well. I like to use Sunflower Oil that can be found in most health food stores. Sunflower oil, like other oils, can retain moisture in the skin. {Safflower Oil is very similar to the Sunflower} Alternately, you can use plain Vegetable Oil as well.
These keep well in a sealed, sanitized glass container for months.  Just keep out of direct sunlight; as you would store the oil itself.

Fall Fillers

Just some last minute decorating ideas for you...
Fill vases with nuts, leaves, candles, grain, anything really... :)
Love this little number from Thrifty Decor Chick.  Simple.  Pumpkin on a pedestal with a ribbon around it.
Here's another from Thrifty Decor Chick.  Love the fillers used here.  And especially that woven basket vase.
And one last pic from Potterybarn.  Love the nut-filled vases and candles. :)
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Party

It's not the pretty little chocolate cake or pasteries...
Or the gorgeous, yummy looking pies...
Or the decadent chocolate desserts...
Or even this beautiful carrot cake that I love most about this Thanksgiving Party.
It's this corn husk table runner that I love the most.
A simple, yet stunning addition to this already STUNNING party.
Wish I was invited. :) See {Kara's Party Ideas} for the details.

Fun Thanksgiving Treats

Look at the fun things you can make using these yummies.
Use frosting to stick candy corns into an oreo.
Stick that oreo to another oreo as shown in this picture.
Cut a bit of a tiny reeses off.
Frost it to the 2nd oreo.  Frost a whopper in front of it.
Then, decorate a face and feet on the turkey...ya, this is the hard part.
And these are just chocolate dipped marshmallows frosted to fudge cookies.  All seen on {Our Best Bites}

Kid Friendly Thanksgiving Crafts

Loving these cute little Thanksgiving crafts.
Find the tutorial for that paper bag turkey at {One Charming Party}.  It's filled with popcorn!

The rest of these are from {Fiskars
Cute little drumstick!
Thankful tree...write what you're thankful for on these leaves, then stick them to the tree.
A little plateside turkey.
And I love that little cup that looks like one of the pilgram's ships.  So cute!  And so simple!
Find the yarn turkey at {Parents} the teepees at {Kaboose} and all the credit for finding these cute crafts at {Sweet Designs}

Light Thanksgiving

Loving this light Thanksgiving Table I saw on {DustyLu
Isn't it gorgeous!!  I love how light everything feels.  Not your ordinary dark Thanksgiving colors.  She just used light colored pumpkins, and corn husks, with light dinnerware and mixed in those dark browns.
Pretty little place setting.
Ahhh.  So gorgeous, right!?

Book of Thanks

I saw this idea on {eighteen25} and I totally want to copy it.
Her family has a Book of Thanks.
Every Thanksgiving, they each write what they're thankful for inside.
Great way to help everyone remember what the holiday's actually about.
I love this idea!!

Autumn Leaf Cookies

Here's a fun idea I saw on {Country Living}
Just split up cookie dough into four sections and color each section a different fall hue.  Randomly piece them back together and roll flat.  Then, cut out leaf shaped cookies.
Aren't they gorgeous!!?  I love the way they look! Especially with the vein detail carved in.
If you want to get really fancy, you can make an edible cookie wreath by attaching them to a cardboard circle, using frosting.
Ta-Da!  Very cute!!

Thanksgiving Place Settings

Just some Thanksgiving place setting inspiration for you.
Isn't this pretty!?  I love pears at place settings.  And the gold and green is so gorgeous!
Love this toned down gold as well...and that metallic pear is so pretty!  I also really love the leaves underneat that clear plate.  So pretty!
White pumpkins are all the rage right now...very cute.
Just loving the elegance of this one.  So rich.
